After a career as a teacher and travel guide, Lu’s passion for mental health was ignited. Dealing first hand with unhappy and dysregulated kids who can't learn properly, Lu wanted to help them develop the emotional regulation to enable them to reach their full potential. This led Lu to a Masters in counselling where she studied trauma and how adverse childhood experiences inhibit growth and the ability to learn.

Lu initially worked as a school counsellor with both adolescents and children and their families. Lu then worked in community settings with a wide range of clients with complex needs, including those dealing with addictions, homelessness, despair and trauma. Lu is thrilled to work as a behaviour support practitioner leveraging off my professional experience and extensive life experience.
