Behaviour Support Practitioner
I have been leading and practising specialised programs in the disability field since 1998. I am passionate about supporting people with a disability to reach their potential as a valued member of society. I have a special interest in the areas of Autism, Intellectual Impairment and trauma based behaviour. I have dedicated my life’s work to embedding inclusive practices within the educational sector, by leading others in this field to understand the supports and adjustments needed to create access for students to succeed in their schooling and beyond. I am innovative in this work, and dedicated to working with teams to find person centred solutions to create better outcomes for students so they don’t disengage.
I have shared my love of teaching with an equal love for music, dance and drama and have used these skills to connect with adult and child clients when I am working with them. It is this connection that builds strong bonds in a working relationship and allows clients to feel empowered enough to advocate for the outcomes and goals they want to reach in their lives.
