Ben has a strong background in psychology. He has worked across roles including Support Coordination, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching, and frontline disability support, providing him with a well-rounded and practical understanding of participant needs across a range of settings. Ben’s practice is grounded in person-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches, with a focus on supporting individuals with psychosocial disability, complex needs, and behaviours of concern. He is passionate about working collaboratively with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop meaningful, evidence-informed behaviour support plans that enhance quality of life and promote independence.
Ben has a strong professional and academic interest in Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and emerging research related to Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome (CDS). He aims to complete his Honours thesis exploring ADHD and cognitive disengagement. Ben is committed to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and supporting participants to achieve their goals in ways that are respectful, empowering, and sustainable.
