The I-CAN assessment will help make sure all of your support needs are properly funded as part of your NDIA Plan.
The Instrument for the Classification and Assessment of Support Needs (I-CAN) is an internationally recognised assessment for people with disabilities including people with mental health concerns.
It has been continuously developed by the Centre for Disability Studies (CDS), Sydney University, since 1998.
David Ackling-Jones is a certified I-CAN facilitator and has provided I-CAN training to other professionals while working with CDS.
People with an I-CAN assessment are much less likely to appeal their NDIA Plan–the I-CAN helps people receive the correct amount of support the first time.
